DESCRIPTION

Landscape design of a courtyard dedicated to the inhabitants of YUL housing complex. Inspired by the sculptural aspect of winter landscapes, the project is structured by a succession of mounds planted with blooming perennials and grasses chosen for their whiteness. The configuration of the mounds defines paths, plazas, and private spaces niches enjoyable in all seasons. In summer, fountains and birch canopy provide a refreshing space and in the wintertime, the water feature transforms into an ice rink that provides animation in the entire courtyard.
