HOME / PROJECTS / places + public spaces / Parc Roland-Giguère Place de l'Acadie
Winner of the landscape architecture competition organised by Ville de Montréal (2011). This new, neighborhood-scale urban park contributes to the regeneration of the Acadie & Henri-Bourassa area. Designed to mitigate the heat island effect, the project is providing a soft, planted green space shielded by a planted berm along with an ecological drainage ditch, while integrating elements of play, enjoyment, and relaxation in this new hyper nature. The design echoes the past and the motifs of the mid-century entrance halls to create a renewed welcoming threshold to the neighborhood.
