Design of a turtle observation post and new pedestrian access through the forest to protect the local fauna and flora along the shoreline. A wooden structure on pillars, inspired by the Northern Map Turtle shell pattern, allows the viewer to be hidden and not disturb the turtles in their natural habitat. The lookout is part of an educational project to educate about this endangered species and its delicate environment. Indigenous plants were added around the structure to stabilise the bank and increase biodiversity in the park.
