DESCRIPTION
Landscape design related to the technical and heritage upgrading of the building and reservoirs. The project includes a landscaped staircase, in continuity with the River-Mountain Promenade, punctuated by plots, offering places to appreciate views of interest towards the city and marking the morphology of the underground built landscape with low stone walls. The work of art "Le Métronome" by artist Trevor Gould is integrated into the place of interest, marking the start of the climb. The landscaping extends across the front of the pumping station to highlight the historic building on Avenue du Docteur-Penfield. Combining with the imposing underground infrastructures, the slope's plantings optimize open-ground planting to cover the continuity of the Mount Royal landscape. The project also includes the redevelopment of the access hatches, which double as benches, above the reservoir on Rutherford Park.
