DESCRIPTION
Design of entrance area to the new interpretation center for Beauharnois hydroelectric generating station. The project creates a dialogue linking the architecture to the monumental scale of the site. Two observation terraces with cut-out circular islands planted with indigenous perennials showcase huge turbines that are placed into the design like artifacts. From these terraces, one can observe the industrial landscape and appreciate the monumentality of the plant and its installations.
