DESCRIPTION

Construction site enhancement and mitigation project for the Laurier Avenue West reconstruction project in Montreal, from winter 2017 to summer 2018. Based on the slogan, “Laurier Ouest vaut le détour”, a series of site specific furniture and hoarding elements have been developed to guide, secure, inform and energize pedestrian and vehicular routes during the construction process. A minimalist yet strongly contrasting visual treatment highlights the character of Laurier Avenue and unifies the family of designed objects. Elements are durable, modular and flexible, easily adapted to changing site conditions while improving the attractiveness of this important commercial street as it is rebuilt.
