FROM AUGUST 1st TO SEPTEMBER 11, 2001 …
In 2001, NIP PAYSAGE was part of the designer team for the Québec-on-Hudson project, which brought a flotilla of six sailboats carrying thirty Quebec artists from Quebec City to New York City, from August 1st to September 11, 2001. By the end of the voyage, “Nomadic landscapes” has left behind five temporary installations evoking the physical and cultural links between the visited sites. All materials had to be found on-site. At each landing, the landscape quilts would tell a story, revealing traces left behind by the group of urban explorers.
